The University of Maryland program in Barcelona is an amazing opportunity for Academic Solutions to work with home campus to give the students a truly cross-cultural experience. Through the ‘Connecting Across Cultures’ aspect of their semester students are placed in a field of their choosing to meet and interact with Barcelona locals. This ranges from teaching basketball, tutoring young people in maths and English, participating in a Catalonia cooking class, and everything in between. These students leave Spain knowing that they have had an exceptionally individual experience.

The unique program we organize and run for UIUC incorporates their British Exchange Program (BEP) students. These Illini enrol directly into UK and Irish universities while Academic Solutions staff serves as the Resident Director to aid in any emergency on-the-ground issues. We also make regular site visits to Illinois' partner universities in the UK and Ireland and produce detailed reports which are used by home campus staff to better advise new students about which UK & Irish universities would best match their needs and interests.

Academic Solutions has been working with Fordham University for over a decade to support their London programs as they have changed and expanded. We have played an intrinsic role in the development of the Fordham University London Centre (FULC): moving offices, creating new programs, managing all financial transactions, and much more. One of our staff even teaches a master-class in urban dance for their London Dramatic Academy.

Academic Solutions works closely with visiting Binghamton University professors, providing academic scheduling, weekly community meetings, organizing theatre and other local activities, chaperoning trips to Wales, Stratford-upon-Avon, Stonehenge, Bath, the Lakes District, Yorkshire, and many more places of interest.
