Required Course (6 US/12 ECTS credits): 
• Chemical or Mechanical Engineering Placement

Optional course  (no credits):
• Survival Spanish Language Seminar

Language of Instruction:
• Internship - English/Spanish
• Spanish language seminar/course - Spanish/English

Student Qualifications:
• Minimum 3.0 GPA or higher
• Chemical and Mechanical Engineering undergraduates only
• Completed junior year at time of departure

Fees
(all fees subject to change without notice):

Program Fee is $3950.00 and includes:
• Host university tuition at the Universitat Rovira I Virgili
• Residence hall accommodation for duration of program
• Breakfast and dinner from Sunday dinner to Friday breakfast, except on holidays
• WiFi access in residence hall
• Airport transfer from Barcelona Prat airport on specified program date
• Orientation
• On-site program director
• Course-related activities and field trip
• Administrative fees

5% discount will apply if full payment made by 31st January 2011.

Fee does NOT include: airfare, return to airport at end of program, transportation to/from internship site, weekend meals (Friday - Sunday lunch), meals on holidays, meals purchased outside of residence hall, health insurance, personal spending money, passport fees, visa fees, fees at student's home campus.

The chemical industry is located primarily in Tarragona province.

 

Tarragona is an active port city featuring a mix of roman ruins, gothic architecture and beautiful beaches.
