Hugo was born in London and moved to Barcelona at the age of seven. His early exposure to study abroad—beginning with a formative trip to Normandy—sparked a lasting interest in history, international relations, and politics, which he later studied at Pompeu Fabra University. Alongside his academic interests, Hugo is passionate about music, songwriting, and production.

Responsible for:
Hugo supports student preparation and arrival logistics, organizing and leading orientations and ensuring all required documentation is in place. He assists with excursions and cultural activities, while also contributing to marketing and student communications through social media and digital platforms. In addition, he provides administrative support, helps troubleshoot student needs, and assists with special projects as needed.

What’s one piece of advice you give every study abroad student?

“The key to fully embrace your study abroad experience is, learning or trying to learn the language. It will open doors and fully immerse you with people, customs and culture. Making the effort to learn the language is really important, even if have no previous experience. I guarantee that it will improve your study abroad adventure.”

What’s a hobby you love outside of work?

“I spend most of my time outside of work writing and recording music. I love to play guitar, bass, and sing.. Along with the technical side of producing and mixing. The space to create is my greatest joy.”
