Kristin, a Michigan native with a background in Intercultural Studies and Mediation, is passionate about international education and cross-cultural connection. Shaped by extensive travel and a deep love for Barcelona and Catalonia, she brings an empathetic, globally minded perspective to her work at Academic Solutions.

As the senior responsible officer in Spain, Kristin leads staff management, program development, partner relations, and risk management. She oversees emergency response, strengthens and expands study abroad programming, supports universities and faculty, advances diversity and inclusion initiatives, and manages special projects and program budgets.

What do you hope every student gains from studying abroad?
“If we're doing our job well, students won’t just study abroad—they’ll grow from it. My hope is that they leave more curious, more comfortable with ambiguity, and more resilient in the face of challenges. If they return home more open-minded and confident navigating a complex world, then we’ve truly succeeded. Those qualities don’t just transform individual lives—they help create a more thoughtful and connected world.”
